12v 11 cu. ft Magic Chef fridge not working properly

I have a 12 volt 11 cu. ft. Magic Chef in my 2022 Rockwood 2706WS, When I turn on the fridge and set it to the coolest setting it will run for a few hours and then the cooling number selected on the thermostat starts blinking. What does this mean? The fridge will stay somewhat cool but not cool enough, the freezer stays around 3 to 4 degrees but the fridge jumps from 35 to 45 degrees once the temp light starts flashing. Is this normal and ok or do I need to have the fridge look at?

Is there any information in the manual for the fridge?

No, not for a blinking temp setting light.

Press and hold the temp set button for 10 sec.

I did a hard reset last night by turning the main breakers off and then removed the 15 amp fuse for about 10 seconds and then put the fuse back in and turned the breakers back on and that seemed to fix the issue but I will wait to see if it is still not flashing this evening.

Well the hard reset seemed to be the solution. the fridge has been running for two weeks without any issues. If anyone else is having the same problem that I had just turn off the main breakers switches to your camper and then pull out the 15 amp fuse and wait 30 seconds. Replace the 15 amp fuse and turn the main brakers switches back on and then turn your fridge on and hopefully that fixes the issue. Thanks for all the comments and replies I really appreciate it.

Glad you found a solution. Like many computer problems, cycling the power (not just turning it off/on with the "hold power button down" trick, but actually cutting power) is a great place to start. (Note: earlier versions of that same fridge DO NOT CYCLE OFF with the "hold power button for 10 seconds" method. The manufacturer added that 'feature' to fridge and updated the user manual). Some folks have added an easily accessible power switch in-line to help with this, and other, issues.

Not sure if this helps, but the 12 volt 11 cu. ft. Magic Chef fridge is manufactured by Way Interglobal, and white labeled by several brands (including Magic Chef). (not to be confused with the universally hated Furrion 12v fridge, which is of a different design/manufacturing and suffers different - and somewhat more significant - issues). The flashing light is indicating a specific trouble code, but I haven't yet found a diagnostics manual to share with the board.

Thanks for circling back and letting us know the cycling worked. Always satisfying to hear a solution (even tentative), and good to add to the knowledge base.

Just my .02. YMMV.
