Angry 2011 21fbrs

Ok I need some help. I just bought a 2011 21FBRS and brought it home. It has been winterized and I de-winterized it. I am having trouble with the hot water heater. I hooked up the city water, and power and the battery. I turned the gas on then turned on the switch in the bathroom. The pilot lites and runs for awhile then shuts down. I did not touch it for an hour( not knowing how long it takes to heat the water) when I turned on the hot water at the sink it would not get warm. I turned on the cold water side and I have WARM water..Am I not doing something right and why would the hot and cold be reversed?

Look behind your water heater and make sure the middle bypass valve is closed....as picture shown below.

You may have to purge the air out of the gas line. Each time I take my TT out I have to turn the gas bottle on then all three burners of the stove for maybe two minutes. After maybe one minute I try to light one of the burners on the stove. When it lights then I know I have the air purged from the lines. That's when I turn my water heater on.
