2017 Forest River HW A-frame stove igniter

My igniter went out last year. I've been lighting my stove with a match but would love to replace the three burner stove igniter myself if possible.

Have you lifted the top and looked at the sparkers?
Ours stopped igniting and one of the sparker wires HD come loose. Plugged it back in and all the igniters worked.

Also grease or other stuff on the burners can interfere with the spark (but usually only affects 1 burner). And very good point about checking for wires that are always getting disconnected with road vibrations!

We just lifted the lid and cleaned our stove. Now one piezo sparker doesn't work. Undoubtedly yanked a wire loose...and there are lots of wires. It will be a simple fix.

NOTE: if you have an oven in your range (many do), and if that oven has a sparker, and if you need to replace the piezo spark generator, you may want to isolate that wire and leave it where it is. I can't imagine that wire will be easy to replace. Mine doesn't work anyway...I always have to use a stick lighter to light the oven pilot. So not worth the effort.

The best mod I made on my trailer was replacing that silly igniter with one powered by a battery. I put a lithium battery in it so it doesn't melt the battery while in storage. There isn't room in every stove, so you'll want to check that.
