2024 Forest River surveyor thermostat not working

Hello Hall and good day. I have a new 2024 surveyor that had been working properly. All of a sudden I checked on the camper and the AC was off and the unit was hot inside and noticed the thermostat went dark and I cannot get it to turn on. Any advice please please please

Check the fuses that are on the DC side of the Converter. If there is a little red LED illuminated next to the fuse, the fuse is blown. When you pull a fuse, if there is something on that circuit demanding current, the red LED will illuminate.

Also, check the circuit breaker on the 120-volt AC side of the converter. Normally the a/c is on a 20 amp breaker. Flip it off and then back on.

New ??? thermostat may have gone bad.

As I wrote earlier, every TT, RV, motorhome, 5th wheel, etc. should have a volt meter or DVM as part of the equipment on board. And one must learn how to properly use it.

Moved thread from the General Community Discussion section's Off Topic sub-forum to the Appliances and Electronics sub-forum since the OP's questions are specific to Appliances and Electronics and not general questions.

I’m such a beginner but a very quick learner. Having said that where are these fuses on the DC side of the converter? I know where the fuse panel is and tried the 20 amp breakers to know avail. And I have to ask are you familiar with any and all hidden fuses elsewhere on this particular model 2024 Forest river surveyor?

In most TTs the fuses are in the same place as the breakers. You should see automotive blade style fuses below the breakers behind the convertor door.

In camp? I think I might walk up to the power post and make sure that the circuit breaker was not blown there, first

You still need to post what model number your Surveyor is, if you want responses to your particular Surveyor model.
There are 20 different 2024 Surveyor trailers so that's why your model number is important.

Here is mine, 267RBSS

AC is the circuit breakers on the left. DC is the small fuses like car fuses on the right. One of the AC circuit breakers should be for your air conditioning, one of the DC fuses should be for the thermostat. The DC fuses have a little red LED that lights up if it's toast.

First thing to check "is there 120vAC power to the trailer." Easy check is a glance at the microwave. Is the clock working? Check the circuit breaker for the AC in the Power Panel.

I learned this lesson as a know-it-all teenager when my Mom got a new refrigerator and it didn't cool. Asked the repairman the same question and he noted "Son, Frigidaire makes a great refrigerator but no one makes one where the light will come on inside when you open the door if it ain't plugged it to power." (Sorry, that's stuck with me all these years and remains most helpful.)

Second thing is to stop referring to the Power Panel as the "converter." Converter converts 120vAC to 12vDC nothing more. No circuit breakers. No fuses. They're all in the Power Panel. I know, I know...

Checked the breakers and the automotive style fuses and all were OK. Now I’m just wondering where there are any other hidden related to the thermostat or air conditioner. For this particular model.

One thing I will note and mention is that I pulled each automotive fuse out and most of them would light up red until I put the fuse back in but there were a couple when I pulled them out they did not turn with the red light but all of the fuses were not broken or burnt
