Question A/C fan cutting out

2015 FW Cherokee Limited 274RK

My ac fan was cutting out yesterday. It was cooling very well. Thermostat was operating properly. Then about 4 times in 15 minutes the fan cut out for a few seconds. I’m pretty sure the compressor stayed on otherwise it would have blown a breaker restarting so fast. Any ideas??

If the fan is set to AUTO the speed will automatically change from HIGH to LO at a preset temp within about 4+/- degrees thermostat setting. Also the icing sensor will do what you are seeing. Could be.

I agree that it's likely that the fan is set to Auto.
Not only does it stop and change from Hi to Lo when it's getting close to setpoint, it also stops and changes from Lo to Hi if the temp strays too far from setpoint. It can be pretty disconcerting until you understand what's happening.
