A/c won't come on in auto setting

My a/c had always worked well in the past. I have a 2014 Georgetown. I have a dometic thermostat. I set it to auto and it doesn't come on. All other settings work. Any ideas?

Are you sure the air conditioner is working on the other settings - or just the fan?

Would I be correct to say it's working because when on other settings it's cooling very well? So yes, the air conditioner is working.

A/c won't come on in auto setting

Is it the single digital stat? If so, going by memory,,,or look in your manual. Turn off the t-stat, then hold the "+" then the "on/off" at the same time for a few seconds until the thermostat resets to factory defaults

Thank you - I reset it and I did refer to manual. Your instructions were correct. However when in auto setting A/C still doesn't come on.

Frequently we have the same problem...I make sure it's on cool, then auto and if it still doesn't seem to work, I set the thermostat down low then see if it works!

Thank you. It just took awhile to cycle off because it was so hot. But it's working great.

There's probably also a 5 minute timer on the AC, so it won't turn right back on, which is bad for the compressor. Timing is everything. You may have just tried Auto and the wrong time and manual at the right time.

IF the Dometic thermostat unit has a clock in it, be sure and set the time. Been known to cause furnace issues in auto mode.

Glad you fixed your issue. If you don't mind id like piggy back off your thread with my issue since we have the same thermostat. It's a 2 week old trailer. The ac has worked just fine up until today. The main unit comes on and the fan blows but the air isn't cold. The thermostat says its 77 inside with an outdoor temperature of 77 and I have it set at 70. I hear the compressor kick on after a minute but the air is just regular air.

I appreciate any help.
