Ac control hard to turn

I have a Colman ac and the knob for the fan/ac is extremely hard to turn. Any suggestions on freeing it up?

Moved thread from the Tech and Repair section to the Tent Camper and Popup section since the OP has a popup and the a/c may differ from those in other types of RVs.

Actually I no longer have a popup. What have now is a 97 mallard. I know this is not the correct forum for a mallard but I trust the advise I get here.

Then you should update your profile or signature.
And you need to post make and model number of the a/c since your Mallard is an 26 year old non-FR product. Or post pics of the controls.

Don't know where you started out, but you should probably be in the appliances and electronics section.

Have you tried removing the knob and cleaning it out? You could take the interior cover off and see if there is debris (dust, insects,...) blocking the mechanism.

Reverse, I moved it from the A&E sub-forum because the OP listed a popup in their profile and hadn't updated it.
It's been moved back the the Appliances and Electronics sub-forum.

If you have the standard Coleman Mach ceiling A/C unit, here is the switch:
https://www.amazon.com/Coleman-67593...dp/B01MDPEB61/

You might want to pull the knob off and try electronics cleaner and/or lubricant spray. It is not very difficult to remove the switch so you are not doing it upside down. Just make sure to take pictures of the wiring before you pull any wires off.
