AC Filter

I have a Dometic 3107206.017 ... what filter do you recommend for this unit?

I went to Home Depot and got AC unit filter and cut it down to fit the air intake grill. When I turn it on it sucks it up into the unit. It works fine but just curious if I need to do something different or if there is an actual filter to get for this older model.

Thanks!

My filter is built into the grill
It just a foam one that I clean out
Are there tabs in the grill to hold a filter?

Look up RV Air filters. RV Air is the brand. I believe they have one that is cut to size so you can cover the entire grille. They likely have one specific to your model.
In ours, the filter covers the entire grille and fits into the recess the grille fits into.

AC Filter

Update from RV Air about the filter:

Thank you for reaching out to us. I have had a conversation with someone else that had the same a/c unit and the filter measures 9” x 11.25”. I apologize, but currently we don’t have a filter that fits those dimensions.

If we develop a filter that fits that or develop something to would be able to trim down to that size, I will email you about it.

At times, I have actually thought about just getting rid of it and affixing a piece of filter media to the outside of the grille using some sort of clip system. For the price of 2 model specific filters I could cut a decades supply out of a $10 roll. Yeah, it would be a little unsightly on the outside of the grille but still....

FWIW, I think this is what the factory uses. Just cut to fit.
