AC only cycles off briefly

The main AC unit will cycle off only about 30 secs to a minute. I think the compressor may cycle off slightly longer than the fan. It has done this even when outside temp was in the 70's. Did not know if the thermostat being located up in the hall outside the front bedroom was causing the temp to fluctuate rapidly as soon as the fan cycled off. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

Mine does the same thing. I believe it's the fan changing speeds when you have it on AUTO fan. When you select the fan mode you will LO AU HI. When you have it on the AU mode it will cycle back and forth between HI & LO and stops in between to reset.

This weekend paid closer attention to fan speed and believe that is the case
