AC problems No Hi/Lo speed and compressor not coming on
Tried AC unit today with camper under pole barn and the compressor is not coming on also I noticed that the hi/lo fan is not working its just running on low. I replaced the thermostat last year with a Dometic non digital and it run fine. Has not been turned on in about 5 months. I pulled cover off top and compressor is not even warm. Not sure where to start. I only have 5.5 volts at the thermostat and have a fresh battery in camper if that matters. I have tried all I know looking for direction if anyone has had this problem.

This may sound dumb but do you have your unit plugged into shore power or on a generation? If so check the circuit breaker for the AC cycle it. Make sure your stat is set to cool with the fan in auto. let the forum know what you do to correct the problem

yes its plugged direct to ac plug. 120v at plug, this is a 30 amp trailer. Everything is set correctly at thermostat, I have installed an add on AC in the front of camper and when plugged in to same outlet it runs fine. I will keep forum informed. I work at a tech college so I am going to take it to the HVAC side and get them to look at it unless I get some good advice here.
