Added 2nd A/C to 320RS

We bought a 2013 Columbus RS320 in Aug of 2012 with one 15K a/c unit and a fantastic fan in the bedroom. Last spring we traveled to Emerald Cove on the southern end of the Colorado River and baked. Added a 13.5K a/c unit to the bedroom this year before traveling to Desert Hot Springs. What a difference. It was 100 and 1% humidity and the coach was 83. Very comfortable.

I was thinking of adding a front air conditioner to our trailer. Could you give me a rough idea as to the cost? Thanks

We bought the penguin II. Installed was $1200. Which included $129 for diagnostic for my existing unit. (which I think is BS) and $129 to remove the existing fantastic fan.

Thank you very much!!! I was thinking the penguin II as well. Although my trailer is not as large as yours, we live and camp in Florida a lot and it can get pretty toasty down here.

We had to do the same thing to our 320RS. 1 A/C would not cut it. If it was 86 outside it would be 80 inside running non stop. Had to add a second ac in the bedroom (Penguin ll with heatpump). I installed it myself and was no proplem. What a difference. I think delivered to the door was ~$900. Worst part was my storage building was only 13ft. Had to dig 10 inches out of it and regravel Thank goodness it wasn't concrete. The best I could measure I am now at 13' 4" on the 320. I lived with it for a year and had it checked out twice and there was 18 degree difference between input and output which is in spec. Just too much camper and not great insulation in these units. I did notice that 90 % of the NEW 320's on the lot already have the second air.
