Air conditioner compressor won't kick on

05 travel trailer and the a/c compressor won't kick on. Replaced two different capacitors and a relay. Didn't solve issue, can jump the compressor to manually run. Had it looked at by my local rv sales and service dealer. He said they replaced the control board and thermostat and it still didn't fix it. They are saying new unit. Any other suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance

What brand A/C do you have?

Assuming that you have a Duo-Therm unit I assume the K6 relay is the relay you're talking about being replaced?

You also say that they replaced the control board and thermostat. If that's the case, then there's not much else that will prevent the compressor from running.

You say that you can jump the compressor.
What do you mean by that?
Where are you jumping that causes it to run?

does the fan run normally when it's called for?

Yes it is a dometic duo-therm. The relay replaced was connected to a small black capacitor , maybe the start capacitor which we replaced as well.
We bypassed the thermal overload on top of the compressor to get the compressor to run. And the fan runs as called for .

If bypassing the overload lets the compressor run then that's your problem.

Dyers has them. Dometic A/C Overload Protector

I'd replace that before anything else.

A/C

Mine a year and a half old and in shop now for replacement. Heading for the Keys 2 weeks ago stopped at KOA Davie for the night. Ac running but not putting out any cold air. It's my understanding they do not fix or charge just replace.
