On my stock digital Coleman thermostat, the fan setting on the 'stat doesn't change the 12v DC furnace fan speed. The furnace fan is single speed and the fan setting does nothing. Only the mode, on/off button and temperature are controlled by the 'stat. It was that way on my last SOB with a Dometic thermostat as well.
On A/C, it does switch the 120v AC fan between high/low/auto.
