Am I doing this right? (shore power at home)

I'm brain dead. Need to leave in morning for 2 weeks. Leaving trailer in driveway. I need someone to tell me if this is correct...........

I have a 30 amp receptacle on house at end of driveway from last trailer. I got a 50m/30F dogbone today. I plugged the trailer anaconda elec cord to the PI EMS 50 amp system (it reads E0), and then to the dogbone and then to the receptacle.

The inside lights work. BUT.........the microwave and refrig also came on. However, the inverter is NOT on. So, I assume those two things are working on batteries (which are being recharged from shore power). Correct?

Do I leave it like this for 2 weeks? Or do I kick on the power switch to the inverter? I don't see how to turn the Refrig and Microwave 'off' just with those two items only. TV is not on, and everything else is 12v.

Am I right/wrong? Need to leave tomorrow and don't want to fry the trailer or make mistakes.

If you are plugged into shore power, the inverter should not be on. The microwave and fridge are running on shore power. The lights are 12V and are running on the converter. Note distinction;
Converter ( converts shore power 110VAC to 12VDC to run lights and charge battery)
Inverter runs on battery and converts 12VDC to 110VAC usually to run only fridge.
There should be an on off switch on the fridge ( maybe on the temp control if it is a residential fridge). It is OK to run the fridge all week. The microwave is not actually running just powered up ( lighted control panel). Sounds like everything is working as it should. Enjoy your trip

Hi BANDJCARM,

Maybe I am not following you. Are you using a straight 50 to 30 amp adapter or a cheater box?

Using 30 amp service you should usually be able to run everything in your rv except a second AC unit. You do not need your inverter if you are plugged in. That just changes your DC power to 120VAC when needed.

I leave my inverter on all the time, if the power should go out then the refrigerator will stay on.
