Antenna & TV not picking up channels
I used my camper a few weeks ago and have zero issues with the televisions picking up channels. Around 25 channels or so. I came back home and scanned tonight and zero. nothing, nada. I checked the wall plate and the green light is on. It completely stopped working in two weeks. I am at a loss to the problem right now. Has always picked up channels at home. No signals what so ever. Any help would be appreciative.

Has to be something simple or user error if it just worked. Recheck your connections or try another outlet.

I agree it should be simple. Did a wire come loose behind the set? Did the television signal type get set to cable instead of antenna?

I checked both televisions to verify they were set to AIR not CABLE. I did not take the plate off the wall. I will do that tomorrow when I get off of work.

Well, I have spent 2 hours trying to figure out what is wrong and I have found absolutely nothing.
I took the wall plate out where the amplifier light is showing green. everything is hooked up.
I checked all the fuses in the box.
I went on the roof and visibly checked the antenna.
I took the cover off the antenna knob in the bedroom and shined my light to see what I could see.
I checked the basement for anything that stood out.
Nothing, cannot pick up the first channel even though I had no issues a few weeks ago.
Can anyone offer any ideas?

Look for short ( in length) copper wires at all ends. Even on back side or wall end.

Is it possible the amplifier in the antenna has gone awry?

I'd try un plugging TV to reset. I had an issue like this once and let it set for awhile then plug back in. Make sure tv is on right HDMI. Later RJD

If you disconnect the antenna on the roof, you should be able to measure 12 vdc across the connector. If you have a junction connection coming through the roof. Wiggle it and observe voltmeter. Mine was loose at that connector.

It could have died, don't have no way to determine that. Have no idea how to open it up or test it.

None of my televisions will pick up any channels.....got to be a connection issue or an antenna issue. Just don't have any idea how the cabling is run within the walls or how to check antenna.

Sorry can't help, was hoping you had a wingard sensar. Always helpful if you fill out profile so people know what type rv you have. Got any paperwork on the antenna with troubleshooting guide

I don't have any idea what kind is on my camper. I used that link as a reference to the size and shape it is. If you have any ideas I am all ears.

Have you ever received channels at home? The new antennas are not as good as the old batwing and digital channels are much more dependent on a good signal and clear line of path to the transmitting tower.
I see that you said it always picked up channels at home but are you parked in your usual spot?

Antenna & TV not picking up channels
Is your booster turned on? If not, turn it on for OTA channels.

Depending on where you are you could hook up a separate rabbit ear directly into tv (or to the antenna cable on the roof) and see if you can get a signal. I have one at and can still pick up stronger channels even without a booster, (Of course you might be too far away from the station).
Honestly I'm stumped.

I just went to the local FR RV center about 30 miles away and bought a Wingard antenna booster I am going to replace the one in the camper as soon as I get off work.
