Antenna help please
2020 Puma, just bought and set up on our seasonal site. This replaced a 2017 Prowler TT which had excellent antenna reception and the antenna could be adjusted.
The TT is wired for cable and satellite and has a stationary antenna.
With the amplifier on, TV connected to the cable coaxial port, I receive very few channels, maybe 6. And this could change to less or no channels in an hour or less. The TV in the bedroom receives NOTHING, while the TV in the living area does.
I bought a cheap walmart window antenna and was able to receive more channels in the bedroom with that. I just don't want to have wires and antenna hanging from the wall & window in a new TT.
My wife then bought an antenna which I mounted on a pole and then used an antenna app to find the TV towers. I then connected the coaxial cable to the camper where it says cable. Did a scan and got nothing. Turned the ampiflier off and still nothing. Switched the TV and the coaxial to the satellite connector and still nothing. Brought the cable inside to the TV and was able to get 15-20 channels.
What is the issue? The dealer doesn't seem to interested in dealing with this and I feel I should be able to connect straight to the cable connecter and receive some channels. I completely understand trees, clouds and several other factors will affect the factory mounted antenna, but to me it seems that there is something wrong with the coaxial connections.
