Question Anyone using Nomad Wifi?

Is anyone that is full time using Nomad mobile Wifi. It's about $99 a month. Just trying to find if it is better that hotspoting off a cell phone. I think they jump carriers to get reception in different locations. If so what to you think of them?

Interesting. I'll have to look into it. Did you check them two kids on YouTube? Sherrie and what's his name? They're pretty sharp. It should pop right up on a search. I'll look later.

I'm looking into it on their chat. If it's $99 per month, it probably makes no sense for us since we don't really travel much and we've cancelled out trip this week due to seasonal and travel restrictions. Maybe someday.

I looked into Nomad, briefly. Their chat bot claimed to be a human (Mike Tyler) to harvest my name and email address and only then did another person (John Wilson), a much more AI bot also claimed to be a 'real person'. Bots and BS aside, they seem to be focused on being a primary internet provider, since their information asks about the coverage at a local address, it's difficult to predict where that would be since our intention is to use it on the road.

In that case, I wonder why they call it Nomad.

A quick look at their web sight indicates that they are providing 4G LTE, and I found a review indicating that they are on the AT&T or T-mobile network. So based on that, I think your speeds would be comparable using a cellphone hotspot on those networks.

If you end up using a phone hotspot, consider Visible. Unlimited data on Verizon's 4G LTE network for $40/month. If you can get for plans in a group, the cost drops to $25/month each. It's what I use.
