The temp markings can't be seen on top until you turn oven on and turn dial to see them.

But are they accurate? On an old trailer I used a known accurate oven thermometer and added marks for my favorite baking temps. I really only needed a plain, no markings, knob.

Doesn't really matter if they are accurate if you check the temperature with an known good oven thermometer.
It's just like a TPMS reading... who cares what the TPMS reads if you've checked the tires with an accurate gauge. The values represented are simply for reference.

Mine is pretty accurate at the medium heat I usually use. I compared to readings from my pro-grade Thermoworks Therm-a-Q corded air temp probe. I always recommend comparing oven temp settings to a known good thermometer.
Key to baking with a stone is to pre-heat oven with stone in for at least a half hour before baking. Longer if you plan on baking directly on stone.

Agree but if one has accurate markings there is less messing around until preheated to right temp. Of course if you have a remote thermometer -----

That looks super! I just baked a chicken/brocolli/swiss cheese and stuffing casserole at the Brass Ring Frog Rally this weekend. I was happy a full sized 9x13 dish fit in oven!

If I find myself anywhere near where you are camping, set another place at the table.

I wish you could have made the FROG rally we just had, there was so much food the FROGs made for the potluck dinner on Friday night, you could only take a teaspoon of each dish if you wanted to try everything. Amazing spread. Every single dish was great.

Would have been fun but as for the food, that would certainly kill my so far successful weight loss mission.
Down 15# already this month and still have 20# to go. Eating, for now, has had some major changes occur. My dinners now could fit on a saucer
