Battery Disconnect

I always thought this actually did something. But never could figure out which power it killed and to which appliances, lights, etc.
I've read that it doesn't necessarily kill ALL battery drain.

So today I decided to put a meter on it.
And each side shows 14+ (yes camper is plugged in).
It shows 14+ on each side with and without the 'switch' installed.

Does this mean I have a faulty switch??

Take the measurement with the RV unplugged. One side measures the battery voltage, the other side will be measuring the convertor output. Plugged in they will be close to the same. Most switches do not disconnect the CO/propane monitor ( for safety reasons)

Many also don't disconnect slides and/or jacks, as these devices have their own ON/OFF switches.

It's a battery disconnect. It removes the battery from the converter system. Some things inside the trailer it does not disconnect. Slides, jacks. CO detector.

Geeze!
This makes total sense!
I feel slightly dumb!
Will check that out tomorrow with it unplugged.
