Battery disconnect switch
Ok, so I'm finnally getting around to install a battery disconnect switch....... which side should I put it on? Is one side better than the other?
Would appreciate all answers, Herk??? lol

This is ALWAYS a debate here .
My opinion is switch the positive.
But IMO IT really it doesn't matter .

Agree with Turbs - I would put the switch on/near whichever treminal is the most accessable.

Thanks you guys........... I figured as much myself, thought I would get a few ideas. Still waiting for the "Head Honcho" to weigh in on this
I know at work, all the motorgraders and other heavy equipment it's usually on the hot side. jdadoug

I agree. That is how I ran mine as well. Find a place that you want to mount it for easy access and a good route for the wire so that it doesn't get rubbed, nicked, or cut. Then make sure you have enough of the right gauge of wire, crimp on your connectors and away you go.

Did it anyways
Well, I went and did it anyways with out him, I ended up going on the negative side. Was lots easier, the postitive had several wires comming off it so it was easier to do just the one on the neg.
Best thing is it went fairly easy inspite the 40 mph wind gust we are having here. Thanks you guys, jdadoug.
