Bed heaters

I just posted about my furnace not working. I also just figured out the bed heaters don't work. Plugged into outlet in 12v power, they didn't light up or work. Plugged into the house, they lit up fine. I have two batteries. One is new the other is one year old.

The heated mattress only works on 110v. So if the camper wasn't plugged in, they won't work. You could use an inverter to change 12v battery power to 110v to run them, but it would probably drain the batteries pretty quick.

Those heated mattresses are great, but the one downside is you have be camping with electric.

this is something that your dealer should have told you during the PDI.

plus you should have how the 12v side is different than the 110v side.
such as a basic thing that the oulets ONLY work on shore power or when hooked up to a generator.
they don't work on 12v battery power.

heated mattresses are 110vAC only. and if you decided to try and run them with an inverter, your two batteries would be dead in a very short time.

it's a shame how dealers don't go over the basics of RV's with new owners.

Sweet. Thanks. I might have missed the outlet conversation.

Geo, suggest you check out "the 12 Volt Side of Life I and II" website.
it'll help you understand how both electrical sides of RV's operate.
