Bluetooth 101 explanation please.
Ok......so using our mobile phones, we’ve been able to connect our phones to each of our vehicles using Bluetooth technology to the in dash sound systems for hands free communication when needed. WE DO NOT TEXT AND DRIVE OR TOUCH THE PHONES WHILE MOVING.
I’ve read the limitations of Bluetooth to highlight 2.4GHz and over approximately a distance of 10 meters or 30 feet etc.
Here’s the bigger question......
Is there someway to extend a stereo system’s sound source (AM/FM/CD/Aux) to some Bluetooth speakers? So......extended speaker without the wires from the stereo unit itself?
Our BOSE Bluetooth speaker (received as a gift) will accept Bluetooth music from our mobile phones, and although our in dash stereo system has a Bluetooth function capability, it appears to me that it will accept sound from our phones, but not transmit via Bluetooth to the Bose.
Guess I’m hoping for something that doesn’t exist.
Can someone explain please?

If you have a headphone /output jack on the stereo you plan to use, You can purchase a small bluetooth transmitter which will connect with the BT speaker. Some have a built in battery and some require external 5V power via USB connector. If you plan to do a lot of external listening, You can get an inexpensive power bank to power the transmitter or run it form and adapter in the RV.

So you are trying to listen to the music (or whatever) from the truck to the Bose speaker, correct? If so, I believe you are correct, you cannot do that. At least that I am aware of. But why don't you listen to music from your phones over the Bose. I have a JBL outdoor speaker I listen to from my iPhone all the time when I'm doing outside work, or at the pool. This works great, and you can move the music and speaker where ever you need it.
Oh and by the way, real life Bluetooth distance won't be 30 feet. It will cut in and out, or lose connection too much. Realistically, it's more like 10 or 15 feet. In most cases.

This is correct, my truck is always parked 20 feet from my recliner. If I'm doing something in the truck with the accessories on it repeatedly connects and drops my phone next to my chair. My phone automatically turns on bluetooth when it comes into range of another bluetooth device it has previously been linked to.

As far as I know, the vehicle Bluetooth is for incoming and not for outgoing.

FLYBOB post #2 has the answer you are looking for I believe... but ONLY if you have some sort of headphone jack as an output on the dash unit, which may NOT exist. Most dash mount stereos do NOT have an output jack, I believe, but one might be able to be added by a mobile stereo installation place.

You need a Bluetooth transmitter
Plug the AUX OUT from your iRV (or whatever head unit you have) to something like this, then your Bluetooth speaker can connect to this signal.

Here's one that will go in either direction and hook up to composite rear jacks or a headphone jack.

Ok.....will this work?
Is the unit identified by camaraderie here, what I need to use the OUTPUT sound from my Jensen JWM6A unit and be received by my BOSE Bluetooth speakers.
If so......what RCA jacks do I use?
See the connection points on the back of my Jensen system in my motorhome in the attached photos.

You should have a 3.5mm aux input on the front bottom right I think.

Use a pair of red & white jacks labled audio output to drive the bluetooth INPUT cable...the plug the double mini jack cable into that and the other end into the transmit input on the bluetooth dongle.
There are TWO stereo pairs of audio output red/white jacks. Looking at the back of your unit...either pair will work but the left pair will be fixed and your speaker volume will only be controllable AT the speaker. The other pair is VARIABLE output and you can control volume from the radio ...and also make adjustments at the speaker. I recommend the latter but it can be confusing as sound can be turned off or all the way up at either end making for some fiddling around to get it right.

He needs to output the radio sources to a bluetooth speaker. The aux input you suggest would allow him to input something like a DVD or DC or Camera sound through the radio.
Ken&Terry ...if you would like to be able to do both things on occasion...just attach the audio output jacks in the back and leave the female jack end of that cable easily accessible (secure in place with a wire tie or tape). Then switch the other cable & dongle around as you need to.
