Brisk Air 2 watt draw

I have a Dometic Brisk Air 2 15k btu a/c unit and I was wondering if anyone has the same and can tell me what the unit draws in watts. According to the readout on my generator it is pulling 1950 watts, which includes the fan on high, under sunny skies, 100 degrees. That seems too high a draw to me for that unit but idk.

If that is indicative of a problem, what problem is it?

I should also note that I have a SoftStartRV unit on the a/c and have verified that it is wired correctly and working correctly.

Thanks for any help.

1950 watts at 120vAC is 16 amps which seems reasonable for an air conditioner. And why it should be on a 20s circuit. Rated wattage of your unit is in your owner's manual. Average of several models seems to be compressor 12.3a, fan 3.5a for a total of 15.8 amps or 1900 watts in a perfect world.

Unless your generator is powering the air conditioner exclusively there doesn't seem to be an issue.
