Cable Channels Snowy.

My cable channels are not coming in clear. All connections are right but the channels are still snowy. Also cant get my outside TV to accept cable channels. Any suggestions?

Be sure the power booster for over air antenna is off. That should take care of the fuzzy. The outside TV wont search for cable channels?

Switch is off and yes the outside TV won't pick up any channels when I run a scan. Thanks

Just about the only thing left to look for are loose or bad connections. Hopefully you will find them in an accessible area and not on a splitter hidden somewhere in a wall or ceiling.

Is this a new to you RV? Have you watched any TV before now? Our Hemisphere had a cable splitter problem when we bought it. Not sure how, but the dealer found it and replaced. It only affected the outside TV. It would carry over air fine, but not cable.

Bruce, yes all connections look good. Yes this is a 2021 Georgetown 7 series. I had dtv for about 2 months at my other aite and no problems. This is first road trip in is so had to use cable connection at the rv site and bad reception now.

Can you connect park cable directly to the tv and avoid the camper? That way you’ll know if the park cable is bad

Confused about the DTV comparison. The DTV wouldn’t be using the same type of splitters as the cable — unless you are saying the campground was using DTV as their provider for your “cable” connection.

That's my next step is to go straight to tv and see what happens. I was using dtv as my service at my permanent campsite thru a permanent dish. This is the first time trying using the cable.

Also, are you plugging the park cable into the camper cable coax jack, or the sat jack?

Plugging in the cable jack in the back. Had perfect pic with dtv so am thinking maybe it might be the connection at the rv spot right now.

Did you switch the coax at the tv to the other jack? Or is it in the same jack as with DTV?

And last simple check. Did you change the internal tv setting from air to cable?

If so, my bet is problem with park or with the cable connectors, either the camper or the cables themselves. If they aren’t done correctly, you’ll get snow from interference

Yep changed over to cable. Just talked to next door neighbor and he said that he has had problems as well. So I betting its the park. Went to office said they will send someone out and check my tower. Thanks for the suggestions guys. Troy
