Cannon 12v fridge lights flashing

I have a cannon 12v fridge. The freezer is good and holding temp but after about a day doesn't matter if I'm plugged in or on battery the blue light that selects the level of cold starts flashing and the fridge stops cooling. The manual says nothing about what the flashing lights mean or how to fix it. After the lights flash the next day the freezer stops cooling as well. Any ideas?

Has anyone found out why the fridge light blinks on the 5 setting and not on the others?
