Coachmen TV antenna

Hi

Simple question for my new 292BHDS Liberty Edition

I have auto tuned the TV but to my demise I can't seem to get local HD channels and wanted to know if

1. Does the antenna rotate? There are no knobs inside I can seem to find

2. The local channels I'm talking about I can get here because we get them on another tv in our house using HD antenna

3. Getting a few channels and pic is awesome but shud have more

4. The booster light is on

Thoughts?

You most likely have the stationary bat wing antenna. There have been a lot of complaints about them. Ours does pretty good, but the old crank up and rotate unit on our last RV picked up much better.

A lot of people have switched those units out for the King brand and report good results.

Odds are you have what looks like a bat wing fixed antenna. (see attachment). The only thing it has in common with other fixed antennas is that it is fixed. The reception is terrible. You may be able to switch it out for a Jack Antenna, but check carefully because as it does not rotate, it does not need a hole completely through the roof and may be mounted in an area that other things are running through.

Yup I have the stationary bat wing antenna. I'm not to amped up about drilling into my roof so it looks like a dish is in my future

If you have Dish Network at home you can get a very low price pay as you go (by month used) add on package for your RV. Also remember you must have a clear view of the sky so it may limit what campgrounds or sites you use.
