Concertone ZX600 - Power light red, but will not come on

I have a 2007 8281SS FW. I purchased new in March of 2007. In June of 2008 the previous Concertone, not sure of model would not power on. Tried reset of fuses and battery removal, no luck. Dealer then agreed to swap unit if I did the removal and installation. I put the new unit in and had to make changes becasue the zx600 didn't have cable hookups like the unit that was in there. We camp about 5 or 6 times a year and did not camp at all in 2011 Now on our first trip out, same story again. The power button glows red like the unit has power, but does nothing when we push the power button. I hate to put money into a new unit, because I can't seem to get but about 10 trips out of the stero unit. Any ideas?

Your Concertone Owner manual has a "Factory Reset" procedure in it somewhere. Try doing that .... should reset things so it will work again. (Don't have my trailer at home so don't have immediate access to my Concertone manual.)

Mine did the same thing last week as I was loading the TT for my trip. I thought it might be a low battery but after pulling and replacing the fuse it suddenly came on. The removal of the fuse may have reset the unit, not sure- don't care-it works now. Good luck.

Don't have the 600, but here are the manuals for the 500 and 700.
Maybe you can find something in there.

Thanks a bunch for all the quick responses, I will see if I can dig up the manual. The dealer kept the box and docs when I swapped after the first unit went bad. I will keep you posted.

Do you still have the ZX600, if so how much are you asking for it?

I've got exactly the saem issue as lilfelr, the red LED lights up but nothing else. Pressed every button and nothing.

When you say pull the fuse are you refering to the one on the curcuit breaker panel or on the power cord of the Concertone?

Went into the trailer this weekend and same thing is happening to us Red light is on but nothing else will work or display. I will try and look for that factory reset and check the fuse and let you know.

Any other suggestions that I might need to check.

Pull the fuse behind the radio or the one in the fuse panel if one is labeled RADIO. Be sure the red light goes out for a minute then plug back in and try again.

that worked for ours, DH went pulled out the fuse and reset. It is working again. Thanks for the help.
