Angry Concertone zx75 DVD

Having an issue with just the DVD/CD portion.....the system fails to "spin" or recognize the disk. Any thoughts...everything else on the system works.

Zx75 Dvd problems

I had the same problem in my 2010 Palomino Gazelle G215 Concertone. Open the dvd door and look at the eye that reads the dvd/cd. I bet it is slid all the way to the left and what you need to do is just slide the eye back over to the right so it will read the dvd/cd. Easy fix. Let me know if this works for you.

Just had the same issue develop in our 2011 Flagstaff SuperLite 26RLSS. IMHO, the Concertone units are not very robust - I've had other problems with this system in the past as well.

I'd love to replace this with a unit that has BluRay, but have yet to find such a beast. Anyone know of such an offering?

The new one "Genesis 3" will read Blu-Ray.

Here is the manual.

Thanks for the suggestion, and for sending the manual. I don't see where it supports BluRay, though - just DVD-R and DVD+R (the record-once type writeable DVDs) in addition to the read-only variety (pre-recorded) ones. It does, at least, have an HDMI output, which the ZX75 lacks.

I keep hoping that the manufacturers will some day wake up and either include BluRay in the player directly, or at least add an HDMI input port on the front and an output port on the back with the ability to pass the video through to the TV while using the surround sound features of the audio system to handle the audio. That way, I could get decent audio when using an external BR player.

Makes you wonder if the market research departments ever actually go camping and try this stuff out themselves, doesn't it?

Sorry to hear that.
What happened to your Concertone if I may ask?
Your unit is a 2007 right? What model was in it?

johnymoto, please enlighten me further on your situation as I have a hard time seeing us not resolving such a new unit's potential issue. Did you purchase it from us directly (as these were not available in 2007) or did you purchase a new RV?

I did a search and this was the only thread I found to post my question. I apologize if this has been addressed somewhere else. I have a Concertone zx700 in my 2012 Palomino that is holding my movie disc hostage! I can't get it to eject. I contacted Concertone and they told me to remove the fuse for 60 seconds and try again. When I contacted them to tell them it didn't work, they sent me a list of their other products I could buy. We actually got our trailer in 2011 and the manufacturers warranties have expired. Has anyone else experienced this problem and, if so, how did you fix it? Thanks!

you might have to take the unit out and renove the cover and take the dvd out. sounds like the problem with the older ones.

I guess I am confused. A ZX300 has not been available since 2007 and it only plays CDs (no DVDs). It is hardly our $699 unit. Let me know if I have this wrong...

Sherri330, you may need to take the unit out and faceplate off to get the disk out. If you want to send the unit to us, I will have it removed and tested for you. Please email me at bfields@concertone.com if you would like me to have that coordinated for you.
Bob
