Convection / Microwave

We have a 2011 Forest River, Palamino, Sabre 31RETS with a standard built in microwave. We want to change to a built-in Convection / Microwave. Does anyone out there know of a Convection/Microwave that will fit into the area??
Thanks in advance.

We just swapped out our Whirlpool standard microwave in our FR/CC 38CK for a Kenmore microwave/convection oven. A standard 30 inch range hood microwave of any manufacturer looked like it would have fit. We certainly had no problem installing the Kenmore.

I not sure you can just swap a microwave for a microwave/convection oven. A microwave gets hot from the microwaves cooking the food and is usually only on for short period of times. The convection oven is an oven with a fan. It cooks with actual heat (350-400 degrees), just like your gas stove but the heat is electrically generated. That heat needs to be vented somewhere.
Just be sure you check for venting and ventilation, plus clearances from areas that will get hot... Just saying....

dalford - thanks for the thoughtful response. You must be some sort of engineer. Anyway, I have replaced my Cedar Creek supplied Whirlpool microwave with a Kenmore Elite over-the-range convection/microwave. All the convection microwaves I saw at Sears that were for over-the-range mounting were of the "micro hood" design and include a fan that not only acts as a range hood but ventilates at least 3 sides of the microwave. The cabinet fan runs automatically whenever you are convection cooking or when heat from below exceeds a certain level. The fan has 5 speeds. Looks like the manufacturers have thought of everything. All the convection microwave ovens that I saw were 30 inches wide and fit the Cedar Creek perfectly.

Thanks guys for the info, problem is that the microwave in the Sabre is not 30 inches. And we cannot find a combo that will fit into the smaller space, without some engineering and destrucion and construction to cabinets. All is doable, but microwave works and oven works so we will keep on doing what we have been doing.
Thanks again.
