So we're out last week and everything is going well for the fridge. 6 days in we discover it is at 40°from overnight. We were on a 30 amp service. Everything else is OK (a/c, 120v outlets etc). Happened to be leaving that day so we switched to propane (heard it fire right up) and temp was normalized after 4 hr trip home. Am I doing something wrong? Should I switch to propane every few days for a day or so? Or is something wrong with fridge?
Power definitely did not go out. I have to use a sleep apnea machine and would have realized immediately. I'll have to check on the seal. Certainly possible that a kid didn't close it tight if it's that picky.
It's absolutely "that picky". A fridge door
that is not closed completely absolutely latched tight is NOT going to cool properly.
Some folks find their refer runs a little better on LP and some find it's a little better on 120 AC. We'll guess yours just
wasn't closed that night.
Keep an eye on it next time and don't stress unless it happens again.
Happy Trails!
