Dead Refrigerator

I have a problem with my Refrigerater, I have power to the control board and nothing to the on auto buttons on top of the refrigerator. I have found that I have power leaving the control sensor board behind the refrigerator that go to what looks like a heat sensor on top of the gas assembly. it has a small what I think is a diode that has power coming in and no voltage coming out, does anyone know what this exactly is, and can I by pass it,

That's a thermal fuse and we've seen it reported blown several times. The easy way to see if it's the problem is to jump across it and if the fridge starts working you need to replace it. The easy way to jump it is to just twist it around until the leads touch.

I think it's 152ºF cutoff, but there should be some numbers on it.

It's there to sense flame coming out of the flue, so you should replace it pretty quickly.

My guess is it's a thermal fuse or fusable link. It's there as a safety to kill the unit if it over heats. You should be able to replace it. Check the online wiring diagram and see if you can find a part number and then google that.

Also a good RV parts counter might have one but online is probably your best bet.
Good luck!

Thermal Fuse

I removed it the refrigerator came right on, using 120volt power, Now if I can find were to buy a handful of these little trouble makers, everything will be fine. Thanks for responding.
