Direct TV

We are going full time and have been more than thrilled with ATT U-Verse at home. We'd like to stay with the features we like through Direct TV. We'd also like to maintain HD as our TV is compatible. Does anyone have any recommendations for which portable satellite antenna and DVR receiver to get? Also, if you have personal experience what is the approximate cost of the equipment, and where is the best place to get it from?

Thanks y'all.

You will need a portable satellite dish and tripod. This is the best tripod I've found for leveling. A friend just got one and said it solved his problem, coupled with the satellite meter that they sell:

Satellite Dishes

You will need enough RG6 coax with F connectors to get from the dish location at the campsite, to the television/receiver in the trailer. You will have to have a SwM module.

Buy all that one time, learn how to direct the portable satellite (I'm still learning, but others master it fine), take any receiver from home (other than a Genie Client), and it won't cost you anything.

IF you need an extra receiver for camping, add one at your DirecTV account online, order it, and it's $7.00 per month once activated.
