Direct TV Genie

We used to use one of our old satellite receivers when we went for extended trips. We got upgraded to the new Genie system and am wondering if anybody has tried to use a genie in their RV. Questions I have: Can I use the old LNB or do I need a new one. We got a new LNB when we upgraded but that was to go to the new single wire systems. Any input would be appreciated.

I take the Genie and a mini-Genie from my house when I travel. I bought a SWM oval antenna with an LNB that exactly matches my LNB that's permanently mounted at home. I recommend going to DIRECTV.com and checking which Genies need which antennas/LNBs.
Have you been to Bebo's Cafe on 377?

I always use Genie. That way can watch tv in bedroom too. Take one Client box also.

Which LNB do you have? Swm3 works fine with it.

You can use the genie remote box in your rv. The genie does provide the power directly for the swim lnb so no need for the additional power brick that you may have used in the past. The genie will work with any of the swim lnb's.
