We use Roku players, and a MiFi from FMCA, TechConnect+, with unlimited data.

We just got the FMCA MiFi and stream on a Firestick. I'm in the Virginia Shenandoah State Park right now, no verizon signals, the Sprint/TMobil MiFi has a strong signal allowing us to stream TV and make wifi calls on our phone.

I'm very impressed with it. Use it at home as well.

No or poor cell signal - put up OTA antenna or put out portable dish.
No OTA stations - use WiFi or cell hot spot to stream.
No OTA, WiFi or cell signal - put out portable dish.
None of the above - get more coax and get the portable dish to a clearing!

Hell, I've been known to run 100' of coax to a clearing only to find everyone else's dish out there also! Kinda got me wondering. Looked like we were all looking for a signal from aliens!

Then of course, you could carry a small library of DVD's like RV (Robin Williams) or The Long, Long Trailer (Lucy & Desi) to pass those rainy days.

Dish will also let you turn your service on and off. Just use it when you want it.
