I can run everything from my DirecTV remote except the Genesis 3.0 Audio/DVD center. I use the surround sound all the time and have to use the Genesis remote every time I want to change the volume. I'd like to stick to one remote. Anyone know the DirecTV remote code? Thanks!!
Good question; I would like to that too. I looked on the Directv website under tools, but there was no setup code for Genesis. You could try calling Directv and ask for the code. This is what the website shows: Pay particular attention to item “3. c.” listed below:
You may still find a setup code that works for your device by stepping through the library codes in your remote. The following instructions will help you do this.
1. Set the "Mode Switch" to the desired mode such as TV for a Television.
2. Press and hold the "Mute" button and the "Select" button until the visible LED blinks twice.
3. Enter the code "991" followed by the "device number"
a. 1 for Televisions
b. 2 for "AUX 1" devices - VCRs or DVDs
c. 3 for "AUX 2" devices – Audio
4. You can step through the setup codes for this mode by pressing the "Channel Up" key to go forward through the codes or pressing the "Channel Down" key to go back to the previous codes
You can try out each code by pressing one or more function keys such as power, volume or digit keys.
When you've found the setup code that works for your device, press the "Select" key.
If anyone finds the code for this PLEASE let me know seeing as the 2013 rockwood I bought came with the genesis and the remote hasn't worked since day one.
I found I could instead program the Genesis remote for my TV and the Directv box. It took a bit of time as you need to program each button individually, but it still give me the ability to use one remote for everything. Check your Genesis instruction manual on how to do this or PM me.
