Dometic A/C fan problem

Rooftop a/c problem with the blower fan starting. Doesnt matter if on low. Med, high, auto, the compressor kicks on but fan doesnt start. You can hear it trying. I stuck something through the vent and gave it a little boost, and it started. So i did again to the fan, but correct direction this time and it cooled great and ran fine. It stops regardless at about 30-45 min and will only run on high if i spin it.
Not sure what to replace but it seems as though the expensive parts work fine. I would like to not rely on the "fork in the fan motor" method if i can repair it myself. Thanks

It's most likely the capacitor. The blower and compressor capacitor are a combined unit. they're not very hard to change if you're handy.

I'd start by checking the wiring between the blower and capacitor just in case it's a loose connection.

Here's a Service Manual for those units with wiring diagrams.
