There are several threads on the horrible blue LEDs in the Dometic 702 refrigerator. Since there are several, and some are very old I thought a new thread would be best.
I contacted Dometic through the online contact form this morning (11-29-17) , with my fridge model number and serial number and the request for the replacement lights. I did mention that I'd read several places that the replacement had been shipping free of charge. The contact form includes name and mailing address as well. I received an email response AND a no-charge order acknowledgement that says the part should be shipping today.
So, still free! It is amazing, but nice, that Dometic is still stepping up to remedy a problem that has been going for at least a couple of years. The original design-- not so great, but I'm hopeful that the white LEDs will make it easier for me to see what is in the icebox.
