Dometic DMR702 fridge failure... AGAIN!!!!!!

Any assistance would be very appreciated....

Fridge wont cool on Auto or LP.... no clicking trying gas
Normal lights on the board.. no codes...
Power supply is there... 110 and 12V on both sides the fuses.
Jumped the electric heater and it will keep stuff froze in the fridge..
(Plug saved from the last dealings with this POS)
Noticed that the interior light will come on just for a second when restarted, or flicker with tapping the control board...
This fridge was REPLACED once... and had issues with the replacement...
and here we are again....

TIA from a very Ticked and disappointed FR Customer.

Sounds like a problem with the control board. Don't blame FR for the problems with your Dometic fridge. FR only installs the fridge built by Dometic, so it's a problem with Dometic's product. Contact Dometic's customer service.

If tapping on the control board causes the light to flicker then you have a broken trace or loose/corroded connector on the board. You can pull it and try to find where it's at or you can buy a new board and replace it and that should fix your problem.

I'd try repairing or replacing the board before I'd replace the fridge again.

One thing you can try is to pull and clean every plug in connector on the board and see if that fixes the issue.

Wink Dometic Refrigerator in Isata 3

I just had a similar problem with the Dometic Refrigerator in our 2020 Isata 3. It quit cooling - No Codes just not cooling. AND I could not find a Dometic dealer who would do warranty repairs. I went online and, after much searching found the Dometic Refrigerator Training Manual:

https://myrvworks.com/wp-content/upl...r-Training.pdf

After checking all of the fuses I disconnected the P-2 THERMISTER HARNESS from the Integrated Control Circuit Board (Manual p. 65) to bypass the thermister and test the Cooling System system. Left it alone for 6 hours and everything got cold again. Reran same test in AUTO and LP modes with same results. After an overnight rest I replugged the P-2 Thermister harness into the board and tried the fridge again. IT NOW WORKS! Don't ask me why or how this fixed the fridge - I don't have a clue. Maybe the long disconnect time reset something, maybe an air bubble in the cooling line disolved. What ever, I just know that the fridge is working again. And it only took me the better part of 5 days trying each test.

I hope that this helps resolve your lack of cold. Good Luck!

I also am experiencing refrigerator problems with a DM2872RBX. Dometic customer service center has temporarily ceased operation, per my dealer. They are projected to reopen end of October! They do not respond to e-mails, etc. and though they committed to replacing/shipping a new refrigerator, closed prior to shipping the item. Three weeks past, I waited 2.5 hours to speak to their Elkhart customer service. I was caller #10 in-line and waiting! Post if you have any success in contacting them.

Service & Training manuals have been in the Library section of this forum for quite some time. Click on Library next to User CP on the light green bar, you may be surprised what you can find there.

Thanks for the reply.... I hold FR responsible for a lot. This POS has been nothing but issue after issue... Fridge, AC, thermostat, stereo, plumbing leaks, Awning, roof issues.... interior walls buckling.... honestly the water heater and outside fridge are the only things we've not had issues with... YET

replace the control board with a dinosaur brand control board. OEM board have a bad track record.

You may have a bad converter that is delivering more than 14.4 volts when you plug in to 110 volt power. this will cause electric boards to fail also,
