Dometic Fridge

I am in the middle of the woods and of course fridge and freezer doesn’t want to work.

Fridge sounds like its running, propane is on with good flame (very blue) and generator on same thing. Problem is fridge is not getting cold like at all. Unit is 2 years old. Thermostat inside fridge is at the highest on the fin

Checked every wire outside even checking outside coils for dirt debri and nothing. Been working on this things for hours and still no good,

So to recap AC and propane neither allow fridge to get cold but no “check” lights appear and starts up every time! Help!

knowing the model of the frig may help getting answers. Sometimes these units can take 24 hrs or longer to get cold. I would put the thermistor in the original position and give it some time. If you feel the back wall of the freezer that is where you will get the first indication of cooling. good luck

You’ve likely got a bad cooling unit. If the flame is running there’s really nothing that would keep it from cooling unless the cooling unit is bad. It should have a 2 year warranty so you might look to see if you’re still in warranty.

Edit: This is assuming you are giving it ample time to cool down as mentioned by Seadog.

I turned mine on Thursday running on the generator. Added a gallon and a half of frozen water. Temp dropped from 60 to 51 in an hour. Air Temps were about 65.

For an emergency get some block ice.

These fridges take forever to cool in 100 degree weather. Right now they should work well.

You likely need service.

Being that your in Canada, I would say outside temperatures is not the problem. Open the lower refrigerator vent and take a sniff, if you smell ammonia or see yellowish substance below the fridge your fridge has sprung a leak and it's time for a new cooling unit. Check the refrigerator warranty as it may be covered by the manufacturer.
