Dometic fridge getting to cold

Anyone can tell me why? I keep moving the slide adjustable piece down but it keeps freezing stuff. It is getting to 20-25 degrees. The adjuster is now hanging down about halfway as long past the bottom fin.

I am running on electric. Outside temp is 75.

Sorry if this has been answered but I can't seem to get the fr app to search.

Is possibly the decal in the fridge wrong and I am supposed to move it up instead?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I would have to think you have a bad thermistor.Slinding down should make it warmer. If mine every goes bad I will replace with a Dometic snip the tip thermistor. You only have to change the thermistor and not the wire.

We added the snip the tip deal to our forester fridge, and it worked quite well. Easy, quick and cheap mod.

As for what you have, you can also move it to another fin. Maybe a couple to the left. I'm not sure how long you're waiting to check temps, but it does take quite a while to adjust, as in hours.

Try laying the thermistor out in the first rack. The lower it is in the frig, the warmer the frig should be. Your label is correct.

Thanks Guys!!

I have moved the thermistor out on the second rack. It was down behind the veggie drawers.

I have also moved the adjuster to a new fin. It was on the last one, moved to the second from the last.

We have been trying different positions since last night and all day. Checking intervals about 4-6 hours.

We shall see. I may need to order one of those other thermistors.

Are you saying the end of the white wire was down behind the trays instead of in the clip attached to the fins at the top?

Yes
I did not know that was where it should be. Maybe it is trying to get it colder because it thinks it is not cold enough?

Now you've got me wondering. Many of us can't get them cold enough. Maybe we should lay the thermistor down in the frig. I've already replaced mine with adjustable dial.

OK so now I have the slide about 3/4 the way up the fin and temp is about 33-34 degrees. That seems to have been the problem.

I have also noticed that the thermistor comes out of the clip really easy, so I will need to keep an eye on it.

I will give it another night to stabilize and report back.

Thanks everyone!!

Where do you get a dial for them?

Ooops!! I see now that the link was to a dial. I thought it was a new thermistor. I was hard to see on my phone!!

Glad you got er fixed. On super hot days you can slide it higher to counter the heat and in cooler weather, slide it down.
