Dometic fridge help
Hi, hope someone can help me. I have a 2012 Georgetown 36’’. We had to park on bit of downward slope for one night and then travel a few hundred miles on grades up and down. Now our dometic fridge is staying about 54 degrees, I checked fuse it’s ok, propane and electric seem fine just won’t cool? Please help!!!! Thank you...

Traveling on grades up and down are not harmful to the refrigerator according to the manufacturers recommendations.
You mentioned parking "on a bit of a downward slope."
How steep?
Was it uncomfortable to walk inside the rig or sleep?
If not, you shouldn't have done any damage there either.
If you were out of level enough it rolled you out of bed, then all bets are off.
Is the refrigerator packed differently?
Are you using any kind of cooling fans? (interior/exterior)
Is the outside ambient temperature/humidity excessive?
Have you checked the actual propane flame?
Is anything blocking the refrigerator chimney?
Is the refrigerator in a slide?
Had you ever experienced a time when it wouldn't cool before or is this a new issue?
Post the refrigerator make and model number for more specific suggestions.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. We have a dometic dm model. The downward slope was not to steep. The propane does come on and light I checked the flue but we usually run on electric. The fridge seems to working ok ( no codes on screen) just won’t pull below 55’. Our slide is out, we are in Oregon so it’s pretty cold here. Again thank you!!!!

You say it is pretty cold outside, that will affect the operation of the fridge. The colder it is outside the less cooler the fridge will be.
If you can, put a 100 watt bulb low down beside the cooling coils.

If your fridge has a thermister on one of the fins look and see if it is still attached. You may have knocked it out of place. This is the equivalent of the temp control knob on the one you have at home.

If the thermistor was no longer in contact with the fin (fell off) the temperature would get way too low in the fridge. As the thermistor gets warmer the fridge gets cooler.
The thermistor may have malfunctioned.

The thermistor is always a PITA. Bumps causes it to drop down on the fin, which is also the direction you would move it to RAISE the fridges temperature.
And be aware, it can slide down in one (or both) of two ways. The thermistor can stay in position inside the clip and the clip slides down, OR the clip stays in position on the fin but the thermistor slides down inside the clip. OR a little bit of both.
Some folks have replaced the sliding thermistor with this adjustable one that's not susceptible to bumps.

Funny, I just ordered one of those yesterday as my sliding thermistor keeps doing just that... sliding!

That reminds me, I have one to sell! Bought it and never installed it into my Dometic.

Some people say remove the cooling unit and turn it upside down, others say that does not work.
Maybe go here and find out from a Dometic Tech.
