Dometic fridge problem SOLVED

Last trip our Dometic 2450 two way fridge wouldn’t run on gas. After a few moments “check” light illuminated, no cooling. We added ice packs, used as a “cooler” and proceeded. Had hookups at our campground that evening- fridge worked on shore power (re-froze ice packs, which lasted through the next day’s driving).
Trouble-shooting at our destination (my sister’s house) - good 12 volt power, clean burner and exhaust, but gas solenoid not “clicking”. Ohm meter showed gas solenoid coil “open”. Volt meter showed voltage momentarily applied to solenoid when fridge activated.
Internet search - could not find the coil or the valve on-line. Eventually found a complete burner assembly that looked right at Dyers RV for $50 plus $10 shipping. SKU 95094 3850730569, Dometic Refrigerator Gas Valve Burner Assembly, E-B-1-2-R. It arrived in three days; used the coil on my original solenoid- ten minute job to trade out - fridge fixed.

Only if you tell yourself it will take 3 weeks for the part to come in, and then another month to schedule the install. Oh, and then break 2 other things repairing that one.
