Dometic fridge RM3962 issue

Assisting a friend.

Fridge would not start after working on last trip. After checks, replaced control board. After replacing control board,

With shore power off fridge starts on propane almost within a few seconds of applying 12V. Light on in Fridge, but control panel completely dead no lights, no control.

If you connect shore power, propane shuts off after a minute or so but then board appears to shut down as light in fridge goes off and still no control lights inside and no apparent power to elect element.

You have to remove 12V to reset board which will then relight on propane with no controls.
Ideas?

It's good you found the problem. Now, do you want to see if you can get the Dometic RM2310 I'm working on to cool? Whether on electric or gas the freezer starts getting cool to the touch, after 1-1/2 to 2 hours it gets hot. During all this time I can hear gurgling from the coils. I'm doing the upside down trick as it's been 2+ years since it was last used.
