Dometic fridge won’t stay on consistently

Fridge Model DMR702
2016 Rockwood Sig Ultra Lite
Will run and cool great for a day or so on power then will kick off and display the 3 blue lights blinking. Have replaced new power board (it wouldn’t come on at all prior to this). Have to reset breaker every time to get it to come back on. Any suggestions? Also just after posting this saw a long burn spot at top of freezer.

It's always helpful to post the model number.

bikendan means the model number of the fridge, not the rv.

It needs a reliable 12vdc source to operate on electric or gas. You may have a poor 12v connection that gets worse as the ambient temperature changes or your refrigerators control panel, the panel with the buttons and leds, may be going bad. If you can get access to the panel, remove all power then remove the wires and reinstall. Do one connection at a time so you don't mix them up putting them back on.

That doesn't sound good. The only manual I can find for the Dometic DMR702 refrigerator is the owners manual.

Here are a few threads of other members having problems with the DMR702.

Here is a Google search of FRF about the DMR702. It looks as though Dometic has several problems with the DRM702 refridgerator.

Thanks so very much for the links. So helpful! Will read through them. A whopping $350 for new power board on this model. God bless.

First, Id call Dinosaur Electronics to see what their replacement board is before I paid for an OEM board. Dinosaur are better products for less money.

They can help you diagnose the problem too. https://www.dinosaurelectronics.com/Cust_Service.htm

That said, Id find out the cause of that overheating before I bought a new board.

Update! Dometic recall dept is replacing our fridge due to defect. Even if your fridge is out of warranty It always pays to call the company when you’re having strange issues, especially when you feel it’s a safety issue.

Their response to my burn mark inside the top of my freezer:
“The issue shown in the pictures was caused by the refrigerator frame heater being positioned a little too close to the refrigerator interior wall. The frame heater is located within the casing of the refrigerator; it is an ambient sensor and its purpose is to prevent moisture on the outside of the refrigerator, especially in humid weather. The discoloration and possibly some melting of the casing/refrigerator wall is the most that would happen with this as the frame heater only carries 1/2 amp load or about 27 ohms, all DC power. This would only raise the surface temperature about 6 to 7 degrees.

Even though you are out of warranty, Dometic is still willing to provide a replacement refrigerator and cover up to 1.0 hour for the replacement as a goodwill gesture if you would like us to and if you agree to cover any remaining labor/costs involved.”

Although this didn’t tell us the original issue of this thread question we were having with fridge not wanting to stay on, nonetheless, the end result is good.

Thanks so much for your help.
Come camp Southwestern VA, especially Breaks Park!

I am trying to relight my 702 with no luck.

The unit is DMR 702 serial 51200577 built 2015

It is in our 2016 Isata Sprinter 24 full wall slide.

The unit has operated probably for 200-250 days since we got it , flawlessly.

At Norfolk VA we had to turn the propane off to use the bridge / tunnel, and dummy me simply turned off the supply , with out shutting down the fridge first.

I have gone thru may relight attempts .

With the outside cover off I hear the spark and the rumble of the propane burning , I can feel the chimney get warm , but when the start cycle is over the unit shuts off , and I get the blinking lights.

What part tells the burner its ON As that is probably what needs adjusting, cleaning or replacing.

Thanks guys, FF
