Dometic refridgerator

I have a question. I have a Dometic refridgerator that runs on propane and electricity. When getting ready to leave from home, a few days before, I like to turn it on to get it cold. Unfortunately, the check light comes on when trying to run with basic household electricity. When I turn on yhe propane, it'll get cold, I put it on Auto mode (which should use either/or). Shouldn't the fridge run on just basic 10amp without propane?

Auto mode when plugged in should run on electric, if power is lost it should go to propane automaticly

When I turn it on, without pressing the propane button in, the refridgerator "check" light illuminates... when I press in gas for auto mode, it then starts working
