Our maintenance man said to take the thermistor off and leave hanging down to decrease the temp. We also added an in fridge fan when we are traveling to keep the air flow going. Great since then.

Just remember, the freezer cools first and whats left over cools the lower box. Always park with that side of the RV shaded by trees, buildings, or other objects if possible. We had to use a beach towel on a neighbor's 5th wheel due to the direct sun and no way to shade the unit. We did have a bus that ref quit cooling. Found some wall paper had separated from the wall and laying against the ref, blocking air flow.
