Dometic Refrigerators - Trouble codes
My Dometic DMR702 stopped working after only one year. Flashing a trouble code on the temperature read out panel. There are 3 possible lights, low, medium, and high, meaning the coldest setting. The medium and high lights were flashing. No electrical or LP.
I researched the internet for help on a Sunday morning and located a gentleman by the name of Paul Unmack with ARP LLC. Paul responded back on a Sunday trying to help me isolate and diagnose the problem. With his help and contacting the Dometic service center we discovered the code was tied to a blown thermal fuse.
Keeping the heat down in these type refrigerators is important to prevent blown temp fuses as well as preserving the system for long life. I found that ARP offers a solution to prevent overheating. Check out their website.
