dometic single zone thermostat
e2 error message flashes on the thermostat of my roadtrek (2013, 170, versatile)
after researching over the weekend i learned that dometic is aware of this flaw. basically if inside temp. is too high (or too low) some sensor stops working and only fan will work.
someone suggested keeping a ziplock bag filled with ice near the thermostat to cool it down. this worked for me. i had to cool the thermostat for approximately 5 minutes.
my question is if dometic knew/knows about this issue why not fix the thermostat specially in it's newer models?
i still have to take my rv to the dealer to get the thermostat replaced.
using a ziplock with ice worked momentarily only. ac stopped working after a while and E 2 error message started flasing again.
