Dometic Thermostat - adjust contrast?

We have a 2018 Grey Wolf 22MKSE equipped with a Dometic touch-sensitive thermostat mounted to the overhead cabinet. While it works great to control the furnace and AC, it's an absolute B!@#$ to see. My wife is shorter than me, but even at 5'8", I can't read the thing unless I stand on the seat of the dinette. The backlight on it is incredibly bright, and the contrast is super light unless you're looking at it straight on. For the life of me, I've found no way to adjust the contrast on it.

Has anyone figured out a way, if it's even possible, to darken the thing up?
