DVD won’t play on TV

Put in a dvd movie to watch and it plays on the stereo face but not on the tv....how do I get it to play on the tv?

Is the DVD player connected (cables) to the back of the Tv?

Also, is your Tv set to AUX or DVD setting in the source menu?
